Tailor’s Shop & Flats

Comprehensive refurbishment, extension and restoration of a 1765 Grade II Listed Georgian townhouse on Lamb’s Conduit St. in Camden’s Bloomsbury Conservation Area, for a bespoke tailor’s atelier & shop with two flats above.

The project reveals and restores the Listed fabric enhancing long-term conservation and functionality by expanding the tailoring into the basement, adding a new 2-storey rear extension, and reinforcing the street’s historic pattern of “living above the shop” by creating two high-value residential units on the upper floors.

“Renato Benedetti came highly recommended and our great expectations have been exceeded by the architects’ performance. They have proven their skills and commitment; firstly in complex negotiations with Camden and Historic England to achieve maximum planning consent, and secondly with their technical detailing expertise helping us find the right builder, and their dedicated efficient management of the construction. We are extremely pleased. It is everything we hoped for.”
