Queen’s Mill

Following on from the success of our riverside regeneration Masterplan and multi-award winning Castleford bridge, the client asked us to design the adjacent 2400m² historic Queen’s Mill and 0.33ha site, as a new multi-use gallery/community hub, including a Henry Moore exhibition based on his influences and early life in town.

Formerly the world’s largest mill using traditional grind stones (six pairs will be kept in operation producing high quality local artisan flour), the phased project will transform the historic building into a self-sustaining community owned venue with new buildings added over time.

The architects have proven their strong commitment to the community and regeneration of Castleford for over ten years and we trust them. There is no other architect we would want to work with to help us achieve this vital project.
