Following on from our two year anniversary celebrations, we went to Rome for our annual office trip and visited our recently completed project Terni Train Station and Bridge and met with the new Mayor of Terni and Client.
The landmark 180 metre bridge facilitates for Terni’s urban expansion by linking station improvements for faster trains to Rome and becoming a gateway marker for Umbrian tourism. The tower and structural ‘halos’ are visible from the mountains, ring road and historic town. The sculptural form, materials and construction approach draw on Terni’s steel-making industrial heritage.
