New ‘Eleventh Church of Christ, Scientist London’ with 60-seat auditorium, ‘Reading Room’ bookshop, Sunday school and supporting areas; and 3 floors of separate rental offices above; by significantly expanding to the rear/below/above, and comprehensively re-building a derelict former pub in Camden’s King’s Cross conservation area.
The open-corner shopfront creates a welcoming character for the ‘Reading Room’ and separate office entrance. The double-height naturally lit auditorium links spatially with the ‘Reading Room’ for maximum flexibility and community use, doubling capacity for special events.
